Tonight I’m going to tackle question #22 – If you could have three wishes, what would you wish for?
(Again, you can find the original 30 Things My Kids Should Know About Me post HERE!)
5 Years – In 5 years it will be 2019, I will be 31 years old (J will be 32)… and I will have an 8 year old, a 6 year old and a 4 year old. Wow! That’s crazy! If mommy gets her way we might even possibly have a 2 year old, but only time will tell. By then we will be home schooling, I think Boogie will still be in love with learning and reading, I imagine she will even be my little bookworm who hides flashlights and books under her covers (I totally used to do that). I imagine Bubby will still be a bit of a monster and probably won’t sit still for school, but he will be as bright and as fun loving as his big sister. I can’t really decide about Baby Bird yet, though with her being the youngest (so far), I wonder if she’ll be ready to start kindergarten curriculum at 4 like I think Boogie will be ready to do so in the next year. I think I will either be contemplating school or a certification, depending on what I decide to do with my life, or maybe be IN school at this time.
10 Years – In 10 years it will be 2024, I will be 36 years old (J will be 37)… and I will have a 13 year old, an 11 year old, a 9 year old and possibly a 7 year old… even crazier! At this point I see us in a good home school routine, maybe having joined some co-ops or home schooling groups in the area. We’ll work outside a lot in our garden, our blueberries, grapes, strawberries, blackberries and raspberries will be flourishing by now so the kids will have fun taking their buckets out to collect all of our berries. I wonder if by then our fruit trees will start bearing lots of fruit or if we’ll still be in the developing stage of that. Since all of our kids are old enough for bigger responsibilities, this might finally be the year J allows us to build a chicken coop, raise chickens for our own eggs, and possibly have a dog as our first family pet! I will be working outside the home on a part time basis, because really… I bet by then I’ll have my degree (whatever that may be) and want to do something for myself!
15 Years – In 15 years it will be 2029, I will be 41 years old (J will be 42)… and I will have an 18 year old, a 16 year old, a 14 year old and possibly a 12 year old. That’s a lot of teenagers! Holy smokes! Boogie will be graduating from home school, if not earlier, and getting ready to head to college (WHAT?!), Bubby will be playing baseball (Papaw Joe will be his biggest fan and cheerleader) and preparing for his final years home schooling, Baby Bird will be ready to do what her older siblings are doing… dating, going out with friends on a regular basis, ready to take on the world… but mommy and daddy will still be holding back on the reigns young lady! And the youngest, if he/she exists will be getting ready to hit the big thirteen… oh the young teen years… I SO look forward to those (sarcasm). I will be in tears because my baby is going away to school, but incredibly proud because I know she is going to do amazing things in her life. I’ll be starting to think about what it will be like with an empty nest and praying that my children find their true loves in the future. I’ll be looking forward to many dates and trips with my sweet hubby as our children get older…. Wow. It’s hard to believe all that could happen in a short 15 years!Thank you so much for checking out Mustard Seed Mommy - be sure to check out my social media sites at the right side of this site!
