You may have noticed that I’ve been using a chalkboard to help keep track of my pregnancy update photos. Every 2 weeks I take a bump photo and draw something on the chalkboard with whatever week I’m in. You can see yesterday’s 36 week update HERE.
Prior to my 36 week update I had been using regular chalk and these AWFUL liquid chalk markers from a craft store. They were seriously awful, the ink ran out of the pens so fast it just made a HUGE mess. So I just started using regular chalk, but I wasn’t happy with how it looked unfortunately! I came across these markers and thought… why not?! Maybe someone else has created a better chalk marker, because I KNOW I’ve seen people use them and have a better outcome!
You receive 8 different colored markers in a pack with a chisel tip – I love that these have a chisel tip. It makes writing and filling in large spaces MUCH easier! The colors are fantastic and all are easily visible.
I tried them out on our key holder at our front door… before reading the directions. Yea. I’m one of THOSE people. The chalkboard on this is apparently really porous, so it’s a PAIN to scrub off, but if I had read the directions first…. I would have known that. Oops.
You can see where I tried to rub it off with a damp rag… it did eventually come off, but it took some elbow grease. I’ll probably stick to regular chalk for this message board… lol!
As per the directions… I tested a small corner of my larger chalkboard BEFORE creating my weekly update board. Thankfully it wiped right clean with a quick swipe of a wet washcloth! Woo woo, we’re in business! So yes… always read the instructions first!
You can purchase these markers on Amazon or directly from Liquid Chalkers, this set is on sale for $18.99 at both sites right now! These would be great for art projects, photography props (like I used them for) or even just to leave bright, fun messages on your chalkboard for your family (or even at work!)
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
