I See Me! Personalized Book

Peek-a WHO? I See Me Book Review

I’ve reviewed another I See Me book a few months ago, you can find that particular review HERE. I had that one made for Baby Bird and decided to go ahead and have this new I See Me book made for her as well.

If you are a regular reader then you know that I do not use my children’s real names on my blog. Therefore, I can’t share actual pictures of the book I had made for her, but I promise…. it’s so adorable. I’m in love with this book. We actually have the original board book, Peek-a Who? by Nina Laden. It was one of Boogie’s favorites as a toddler. So, I was super excited about this personalized book.

On the cover it has “Baby Bird’s (except it’s her real name, duh!) Peek-a Who?” and on the inside cover there is a photograph of my sweet baby and it reads:

We Love You! This book was made especially for Baby Bird who arrived December 8, 2014.

Mommy & Daddy

On each “Peek-a…” page it reads as “Child’s name, Peek-a…”. Baby Bird LOVES it, she gets excited when we say her name and “peek-a….”! The other pages are just like from the original book and a few have some personalized surprises, just as you can see in the cow photo.

At the end of the book, in the original, you’ll see “Peek-a….. you!” and there’s a mirror so you can see YOU! In this personalized version there’s a picture of your child! Ah, I just can’t get over how adorable this book is!

These books became available for purchase on July 16th, so hurry over to I See Me! to create your own! Just click the image below to go directly to their site.

The Unveiled Wife Book Review

I’ve been following The Unveiled Wife for a few years now and found her posts inspiring and close to home. She shares her faith, marriage and life like an open book and I truly appreciate that about her. She does no different in this book about her relationship with her husband and how her faith has helped in her intimacy with him.

When you first get married you have big dreams about what your life is going to entail, that includes how you simply will just live with your husband… and most of the time, and I don’t mean this in a bad way, but you usually become a bit disappointed that real life doesn’t really match up to your dream life.

This book would be a great gift for young newlyweds or brides to be, I really enjoyed reading this and learning more about Jennifer. It also was nice to read something so open and honest that opened my eyes to some of my own disappointments early on in my marriage.

The Love Letters Book Review

This is a new book by Beverly Lewis and personally I’m hoping this one, like so many of her other books, becomes another series. This book is about a girl named Marlena who goes to stay with her grandmother after her grandfather’s passing. While there her sister, who is no longer a part of the Amish community, gets into a car accident and Marlena is asked to care for her baby niece. She’s sure it will only be for a short time until her sister passes away.

Marlena not only goes through the grief of her sister’s passing but finds that this new precious baby in her life may change and alter things in her own life, including friendships, family and young love.

Chasing Sunsets Book Review

Yes! Another Karen Kingsbury book, and this is actually the second book in the Angels Walking Series. You can find my review of the first book HERE. This book follows the journey of Mary Catherine, the roommate of Sami. She enjoys charity work and living a simpler life than that of her parents. She believes and wants to stay single, but a budding romance threatens that… and when she believes she may be ready for a serious relationship, she receives heartbreaking news from her doctor.

Karen never disappoints me, she continues to write inspiring stories and introducing us to fictional characters that keep you begging for more! If you’re looking for a book that inspires faith this book is for you!
