Baby #4 – 12 Weeks

It’s true! We are expecting Baby #4 and we couldn’t be more ecstatic! We are officially moved and getting settled into our new home in East TN, we’ve been here for a month now but we aren’t quite done unpacking and getting everything the way we want it yet. That’s obviously because of this sweet bean growing in my belly, he/she is making feel pretty sick, so things are slow going! I’m hoping to post some more in the coming weeks as I find time, but for now, here is the first baby update! I didn’t feel well enough to go all out for my first belly update photo, so you get a bathroom selfie this week! (1)

How far along? 12 weeks

Total weight gain/loss: I haven’t officially weighed myself before after finding out we were expecting, and honestly I probably won’t keep track this time. We ate out a LOT our first two weeks here so I imagine I gained some!

Maternity clothes? Ugh. Yes. Already. Regular jeans are far too uncomfortable, thank goodness for LuLaRoe! I’ve worn a few pairs of maternity pants, but my LLR leggings are by far the comfiest! I went ahead and pulled my maternity tops as well, but I’m sticking to LLR and regular tees for the most part right now.

Stretch marks? Same old ones I’ve had since Boogie!

Sleep: I sleep as well as I can. Bird is transitioning from our bed to her bed but usually ends up back with us in the wee hours of the morning. She’s getting there, but until she’s permanently in her bed I probably won’t get a full nights rest with her tossing and turning!

Best moment this week: I got to see this little Bean jumping and spinning around at my prenatal appointment last week. It didn’t start out well as our insurance is not cooperating (so nice right?) and I had to pay out of pocket for the appointment! But thankfully the midwife was incredibly kind and asked if I’d like a chance to see him/her to lift my spirits. No pictures as it was an ancient machine that they don’t use “officially”, but just seeing him/her was amazing.

Movement: None yet, it’s way too early for that…

Food cravings: Icee’s, graham crackers and frozen fruit.

Gender: Too early to tell!

Labor signs: None.

Belly button in or out? In

Wedding rings on or off? On and super loose! Yikes!

What I miss: Not feeling like a lazy bum… laying down is the ONLY thing that relieves my nausea right now.

What am I looking forward too: Holding a brand new baby, breathing in that sweet scent… this will be our last so you better believe I’ll be savoring every moment!

Weekly Wisdom: Let go and let God.

Milestones: Baby is the size of a lime!

Happy 3rd Birthday Bubby!

My sweet boy turns THREE years old today. How fast these years have flown by and being this little one’s mommy has been a whirlwind of an adventure! I can’t wait to see what the next year brings, I just hope I remember to buckle my seat belt because I’m afraid it’s going to be and even more wild ride!

We love you to the moon and back Bubby, I pray that you always remember how much we love and adore you, that you never lose your sense of adventure and that you meet a woman as sassy as Boogie so she can keep you straight! Hugs and kisses monster man!

Timeshel Photo Printing App Review

J and I use our phones to take photographs of our children a LOT. We have a great DSLR, but sometimes it’s just too much to keep up with when we’re already chasing our three children around! iPhones are great for that purpose, but getting prints, especially Instagram prints, is complicated. An average 4×6 print is not the right size for regular phone photos, let alone Instagram shaped photos.

PicMonkey Collage2

Timeshel is an awesome app that you can use on your iPhone to order prints with a monthly subscription. You can get 10 prints for $5.95 or 30 prints for $14.95, and the quality is phenomenal. I was super excited about the quality of the prints and the vibrancy of the colors.

10 photos come in a cute little envelope like this, it’s compact and perfect to keep those photos in until you are able to display them.

I haven’t decided how I want to display them, but Timeshel gives you a few ideas like these (stock photos):

I’m looking forward to getting my prints each month! Just download the Timeshel app on your iPhone or find more information on their website, HERE.

And for the first time ever… check out our first Mustard Seed Mommy review, with guest star…. Baby Bird!

Disclaimer: I received a one month subscription and received 10 prints for free, in return for an unbiased and honest review. All opinions and statements are that of Mustard Seed Mommy.

4 Baby Bandana Drool Bibs + Pacifier Clip Review

These bibs are ADORABLE. I’m ready to order another set for my sweet Bird! Out of all three of my children, Baby Bird has been the one to drool and spit up the most. Boogie barely did, Bubby did a little… but Bird can soak through a bib in minutes.

These bandana bibs however are not only stylish but very functional. They are made of 100% highly absorbent cotton with a soft fleece backing. They are incredibly absorbent, Bird soaks through them but it takes a good bit longer for me to need to change her bib.

These bibs contain nickel-free snaps. You can easily adjust the size and no worries about itchy or peeling velcro.

We are definitely fans of these bibs, and bonus… if you order from Amazon HERE you get a pacifier clip for FREE!

Savvy Baby also sells pacifier clip sets on Amazon, you can find those HERE.

Do you have a favorite brand or style of bib that works well for you?

I received a set of these bibs in return for an open and honest review. All opinions stated are mine.

Three and Counting

Do you know what drives me insane? No, really, what truly drives me mad? Being told over and over and over that my hands are full. It’s not true! Sure, there are days when I feel like I’m drowning in this life of a mommy and days when I think I’m not cut out for this God given job. But then I look at the faces of these three beautiful, precious babies and I know… my hands could never be full with them.

You see, God puts desires in our hearts, we don’t always know what they are at first, but slowly He reveals them to us. If you ask some of the people I spent time with in high school, they’d tell you that I had no intention of having babies. Don’t get me wrong, I loved kids… as long as I could give them back at the end of the day. Then I met my future husband and God started knitting those little desires and placing them in my heart.

And one by one they keep coming and blessing my life more abundantly than I ever could have dreamed. Those desires, those beautiful, precious desires… and we’re not done yet. I believe that when in my heart I feel done having these babies that that is when the Lord says I’m done.

So, you see, it drives me CRAZY to hear someone say, “Boy, you have your hands full!” Because no dear one… my hands are not full. My hair may be frazzled, my clothes unkempt, my eyes a little crazy; but my hands are busy and well used. These hands of mine change many diapers, soothe boo-boos, braid hair, brush away tears, cradle babies… and I could go on and on. These hands are far from full, just very very busy. My heart… it’s full, but I guarantee you I can make room for one or two or three more.

So, next time you see a family of three, or four, or five… or MORE, don’t tell them they’re hands are full. Instead tell that frazzled, unkempt momma that she is doing a good job. Tell that crazy-eyed daddy that he’s abundantly blessed, because we don’t need to hear you say our hands are full. Nothing could be further from the truth.
